How does technology condition the way we see ourselves and each other?
I treat paintings like digital images. It’s a process of filtering, editing, and curating compositions as an extension of the screen. It's how we treat ourselves on social media, masking reality to present a well-constructed image.
Taking inspiration from the components of digital files: a layered .ai or .psd, these paintings isolate individual layers and highlight the process as product. Working both digitally and physically, I'm engaged in the life cycle of these images, captivated by their ability to be sites of endless reinvention.
